One family pulled on Florence’s heart strings up through her last day of retirement and beyond. When Florence first met Joan, John and their babies, Colin and Paul the Parents had each lost their mother leaving their babies without a grandmother.
Florence had retired and had started caring for the children while Joan and John were working and already thought of herself in a way as their grandmother. Because their calls to each other visits and strong family like ties had never wavered through the years since Florence retired.
As time quickly passed by Colin and Paul started School. One day, one of the little boys came home, told his mother he needed a grandmother because his school was going to have a Grand Mother’s Day. Florence’s phone started to ring shortly after that. Joan asked Florence if she would like to be Colin and Paul’s grandmother. Florence said, yes, because already She felt like your family is her Second family that comes with much love from everyone, Joan and John and two grandsons named Colin and Paul.
Florence loved the Lord. She loved people. She tried to do whatever she could do to help and make people “happy”. “Her motto” was to do at least one good deed every day.
