It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lt. Col. Jerry Vallery which occurred on September 20, 2022. He is survived by his children Jerry L. Vallery, Sr. (Karin), Steven R. Vallery, Sr. (Fay), Edward H. Vallery and Michelle V. McDowell, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends and business associates. Services will be held on October 11, 2022 at The Grace Baptist Church of Germantown located at 25 W. Johnson Street, Philadelphia PA 19144 starting with a public viewing from 9:00AM to 10:00AM
Lt. Col. Jerry Vallery served our country in World War II and The Korean War in the Army Corp of Engineers for over 22 years. He served in many capacities throughout the City of Philadelphia working with Minority and Disadvantaged Contractors promoting growth, leadership and education. His programs and achievements will continue and thrive in the African American community and throughout the community of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. He will be sorely missed and remembered for all of his foresight, kindness and compassion for Minority Contractors, Disadvantaged Businesses and the Community at Large.
