Roberta Lewis Obituary

Roberta Lee Lewis was born on January 8, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA and was called home to God on November 13, 2020.  She was affectionately known to family and friends as “Doll”.  She was born to the late John H Lewis Sr and Louise Johnson, Doll was the fifth of six siblings.

Doll was educated in the Philadelphia Catholic and Public school systems.  She worked at the Holiday Inn for over 17 years, then moved on to various other jobs caring for others.

Doll enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading her bible and praying for others.  She was an evangelist that shared God’s word with others and enjoyed church services on a regular basis.  She also enjoyed shopping, traveling and most of all spending time with family.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.  Doll was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grand mother, sister, and aunt.

Doll blessed the world with four children: her oldest son Mac Arthur, who preceded her in death, daughters Cheryl and Tonya and youngest son, Sean.  Doll’s house was where family would gather and was always full of love and laughter.

Doll was preceded in death by her parents John Sr and Louise, her siblings: Arthur Lee, Larry, Victoria, Maudell and John; her son Mac Arthur and grandson Raheem.

Doll leaves to cherish her memory two sisters Lula Mae and Caroline, two brothers James and Edward, her children Cheryl Chilsom, Tonya Martin and Sean Sadler along with her son in law Robert Chilsom and daughter in law Shonie Sadler, 12 grand children, 12 great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lovingly submitted,
The Family
