Obituary For Rufus H Anderson
Rufus Henry Anderson 89 passed away on Sunday December 5th 2021 at Elkins Crest Nursing Home.
Rufus was born May 28th 1932 in Fork Union, Virginia to Harry Lee Anderson and Betty Lou (Wells) Anderson. Rufus attended S.C. Abrams High School (Fluvanna County, Virginia. He was married to Frances Young Anderson they had three sons.
Rufus has lived most of his adult life in Philadelphia. His longtime companion Marie Jordan preceded him. He last worked as a landscaper before retiring.
Rufus loved to hunt and fish. He was really a fantastic dancer. One of his hobbies was shooting pool. He really loved old cars and going to car shows his favorite car was a black 1964 Cadillac.
He is survived by two sons Rufus, Virginia and Percell Anderson, North Carolina. Two grandsons Kevin Johnson, Virginia and Martin Ghaskin Jr., Philadelphia; two great grandchildren. His special nephew Tony Anderson and a host of nieces and nephews also great nieces and nephews and many more friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sons Reginald Anderson and Martin Ghaskin, brothers Harry Wells Jr. and Harry William Anderson and sisters, Irene Anderson, Florence Brooks, Elizabeth Carter, and many other special relatives and family.
