Sonja was educated at the Ivy Leaf School and graduated from W.B. Saul High School in Philadelphia. She also attended Knoxville College, Temple University, and Beaver College.
Sonja was blessed with a niece (Anitra) and a nephew (Dashon) whom she treated like her own children. She loved visiting Family in Maryland and Ohio and took them with her whenever she could.

She worked as a human resources recruiter for several companies the last of which was Day and Zimmerman in Philadelphia.
Sonja was very creative. She started her own company making jewelry and sewing. She made clothes, bags, blankets and most recently was making masks for Family and Friends.
Sonja was loving, wise, strong minded, soft spoken and always helpful and strong in her Faith in God. She was also (as was her mother) a vocal Eagles fan.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving Father Troy, a loving Brother Troy, a special sister Robin Bailey, her niece Anitra Bailey, her nephew Dashon Hundley, a special friend Mark Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, cousins and close friends.
